Overview

Logicamms (now Verbrec) and Santos engaged Liberty Industrial to conduct a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) study for End of Field Life of a gas processing facility and associated infrastructure at the Gobe Oil Project in Papua New Guinea. The scope of work includes value engineering planning and developing a feasible project execution which includes management plans and subject matter expertise input.

Challenges

The site’s remote location posed several significant difficulties including logistical issues, the scarcity of equipment and vessels, slow international mobilisation and daily operations due to COVID-19 restrictions and limited options for waste management.
