Overview

Logicamms (now Verbrec) and Santos engaged Liberty Industrial to conduct a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) study for End of Field Life of a gas processing facility and associated infrastructure at the Gobe Oil Project in Papua New Guinea. The scope of work includes value engineering planning and developing a feasible project execution which includes management plans and subject matter expertise input.

Challenges

  • The site’s remote location posed several significant difficulties including logistical issues, the scarcity of equipment and vessels, slow international mobilisation and daily operations due to COVID-19 restrictions and limited options for waste management.
