ERM engaged Liberty Industrial to undertake the demolition, remediation and decommissioning of major service stations across five sites in NSW. The scope of works includes isolation of all site utility services, demolition and disposal of asbestos impacted sites, DG liquid waste removal, washout, destruction and recycling of 5 USTs and their associated infrastructure, excavation of contaminated soil, treatment of hydrocarbon impacted sands and soils complete with site levelling and grading.
Robust solutions
- Our project team has devised a robust methodology to treat hydrocarbon impacted sands and soils from the tank depots through onsite bioremediation and reuse onsite.
- Odours from hydrocarbon impacted soils were managed using proven and specific hydrocarbon odour mitigation agents with some odorous soils managed by continuous suppression using atomising cannons. This method proved successful with odours non-detectable at boundaries.
Exceptional outcomes
Our team is on track to complete the works at the various sites. At present, Liberty Industrial have successfully completed works on one of the service stations.
