Almost 40 years since its inception, at the Argyle Diamond Mine in Western Australia’s Kimberley region, a multitude of works continues with the closure of the Argyle Diamond Mine. Managed by Liberty Industrial, the ongoing success and progress of the closure project is underpinned by its capable teams of workers, many of which are Traditional Owner individuals employed by local businesses.
These businesses have all played a pivotal key role in the successful completion of the first phase of the demolition, civil, and remediation activities for the mine closure.
For Liberty Industrial, local engagement and sustainable positive contributions to the local community goes beyond the closure project itself. “We strive to maximise opportunities for our Traditional Owner business partners, such as long-term employment, training and business opportunities,” says Brett Kirby, WA State Manager at Liberty Industrial.
“This commitment underscores our dedication to building lasting and positive relationships with Traditional Owner business partners, by contributing to their local prosperity throughout the duration of the project, and in the long term.”
