On behalf of our client McConnell Dowell, Liberty Industrial have commenced the disassembly and disposal works associated with the Shiploader and Berth Replacement (SABR) project located in Queensland, Australia.
Existing Berth and Shiploader sections weighing in at 4500mt will be transferred to the Australian Marine Complex in Henderson, Western Australia via heavy lift vessels for demolition and processing. A secondary processing area has been established in Queensland’s Half Tide Tug Harbour and has commenced the processing of a further 2000mt worth of berth infrastructure. Aligning with our commitment to sustainable operations and project outcomes, the team are on track to recycle, reuse or repurpose upwards of 95% of the salvaged material. The disassembly scope is due for completion in Q3 of 2022.
