Clinton Dick

Clinton is the founder of Liberty Industrial. A well-respected industry expert, Clinton has been involved with the successful execution of some of Australia’s largest and technically complex challenging demolition undertakings.
A qualified Civil Engineer specialising in large and complex industrial demolition and remediation projects, Clinton has more than 24 years of project delivery and leadership experience.
Having held a variety of consulting, engineering, project management, and senior roles in the demolition industry prior to launching Liberty Industrial in 2008, Clinton founded the company due to the growing need for a specialist company to service the requirements of major industrial companies here in Australia and abroad.
Clinton’s leadership and expertise have been critical to the growth and direction of Liberty Industrial, a specialist deconstruction and remediation contracting business known for its ability to deliver projects of the largest scale and highest calibre.

Clinton was a finalist in the Building and Construction Executive of the Year category for the CEO Magazine Executive of the Year Awards in 2016 and is a much sought-after speaker, regularly featured as a subject matter expert in the industry media. His involvement in prominent and complex demolition projects at the World Demolition Conference are held in high regard, earning him a seat on the World Demolition Awards judging panel which he has held for the last 5 years.

Simon Gill

Simon is a highly regarded industrial demolition and closure expert who has directed the delivery of some of Australia’s largest industrial demolition and closure projects, including several landmark and World Demolition Award-winning projects. He has earned the respect of his peers in the international demolition community for his leadership of projects such as Munmorah Power Station, Clyde Oil Refinery Removal, Swanbank Power Station Removal, Hismelt Closure Project, Boodarie Hot Briquette Iron and Port Stanvac Refinery Demolition.
A qualified Civil and Environmental Engineer, Simon has more than 20 years of industrial deconstruction project delivery and leadership experience. Prior to joining Liberty Industrial as a Director in 2010, Simon held high-level operations management roles, including General Manager and National Operations Manager. He possesses strong technical and managerial skills and is well equipped to deal with technically complex tasks and has the ability to work through the often stressful and unique challenges presented on large, high profile projects.

David Wood
General Manager

David is an experienced General Manager and Director of large and complex contaminated land remediation projects with more than 20 years of industry experience.
David is a qualified Civil Engineer, who holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) with Honours. His passion for the environment and led him to pursue a career within the field of contaminated land remediation.
David has been instrumental in Liberty Industrial’s transition from a predominately industrial demolition contractor to a fully integrated demolition, remediation, and civil contracting business.

John Harris
National HSEQ Manager

John is a capable HSEC and Training Manager with more than 20 years of experience. Since joining Liberty Industrial in 2016, John has been influential in developing a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organisation, empowering workers to manage their own safety.
John has developed a number of award-winning safety and training programs for Liberty Industrial including Oxy Cutting and a number of Excavator Operator Training packages. He was also the winner of the NSW Safework Awards for Category 3- Safety Champion- Best Individual contribution to WHS.
John had significant involvement in the delivery of the Munmorah Power Station Removal project in the role of Project HSEQ & Training Manager prior to his appointment as Liberty Industrial’s National HSEQ & Training Manager.

Sean Nestor
Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining Liberty Industrial in 2017, Sean held senior finance roles in a number of innovative and prominent international and domestic companies in the engineering and manufacturing sectors.

Sean previously worked as Senior Finance Manager with international Italian tyre business Pirelli, US conglomerate ITW and French engineering and asset management solutions company Dalkia. Locally he was Chief Financial Officer with Graham Group, now part of the Nepean Group and with James Walker Australia – a designer and manufacturer of bespoke sealant and packing solutions for Oil & Gas, Power and Utility customers.

As Chief Financial Officer, Sean provides strong systems, governance and strategic direction and believes a focus on sustainable growth, strong customer relationships, safety and prudent fiscal management are key for the long term performance of the business.

Sean holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Accounting from the National University of Ireland and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Kurt Denham
National Plant Manager

Kurt is a professional and experienced Fleet Manager and Workshop Supervisor with more than 18 years’ experience specialising in the management and maintenance of fleets of large civil and demolition plant and equipment. A mechanic by trade, Kurt started his career in plant mechanics in 2002. Since then, he has held a variety of roles from Plant Mechanic to Workshop Supervisor and National Fleet Manager.

Kurt’s extensive supervisory and management experience sees him well placed to manage and maintain Liberty Industrial’s extensive fleet of state of the art plant and equipment.

David Wall
NSW Manager

David has a wealth of experience within the Demolition, Remediation and Civil sector spreading over a 25 year period. Starting his career working throughout UK and Europe he is able to bring a wealth of knowledge to his current role as NSW Manager.

Rising through the ranks has given him an invaluable grounding to understand all the facets required for the completion of a successful project for the betterment of both client and company.The NSW manager is responsible for overseeing numerous projects and aligning synergies between operational sites, ultimately streamlining the company as it endeavours to raise the bar.

Developing and mentoring of younger Project Managers is a key aspect for David, giving back to the younger team members as Liberty endeavour to advance and future proof itself moving forwards.The skill sets he has acquired and industry knowledge give David the attributes required to succeed in delivering projects to the highest professional standards, on time, within budget and to the benefit of all stakeholders.

Brett Kirby
WA Manager

Brett is an experienced Operations Manager with more than 15 years of operational and management experience in the petrochemical, demolition, remediation and civil contracting industries.

Brett has a strong management and operational understanding of the full demolition, remediation and civil project delivery lifecycle, specialising in work with hazardous materials, and within volatile atmospheres and high-risk environments.

Brett has a robust understanding of relevant health and safety requirements and is dedicated to managing teams, productivity, quality, safety, and ensuring zero harm to the environment.

Brett joined Liberty Industrial in 2019 tasked with re-establish Liberty Industrial’s presence within the Western Australian market place. He has a strong proven ability developing strong business and clientele relationships, with a strong customer focus.

Anthony Milanich
QLD Manager

Anthony is qualified Civil Engineer and experienced Manager within the environmental services industry who has delivered several complex remediation, decontamination and demolition projects throughout Australia.

Progressing within Liberty Industrial from Project Engineer to QLD manager has provided Anthony with exposure to a wide range of remediation and demolition projects throughout Australia, under the guidance of Liberty Industrial’s Senior Management.  In his role as QLD Manager, Anthony is responsible for overseeing multiple projects, conveying Liberty’s strong safety culture amongst site teams and maintaining and developing relationships with existing and future stakeholders.

Anthony was a key member of the project team that delivered the Moorebank Intermodal Terminal Demolition and Remediation Project, which was awarded Best Remedial Project (>$1M) at the 2018 ALGA Annual Industry Excellence Awards.
